IN A WORLD DRIVEN BY GLOWING SCREENS AND RELENTLESS IMMEDIACY, THE EXHIBITION
“THE ART OF READING” INVITES US INTO MOMENTS OF QUIET SUSPENSION—WHERE TIME SLOWS AND SPACE SOFTENS AROUND THE READER. THIS SERIES OF ACRYLIC PAINTINGS LINGERS
IN THE DELICATE EXCHANGE BETWEEN PERSON AND PAGE, CAPTURING THE SILENT ENERGY
AND ATMOSPHERE BORN OF THIS INTIMATE COMMUNION WITH THE PRINTED WORD.
THE EXHIBITION OFFERS A POWERFUL REMINDER OF THE BEAUTY FOUND IN SLOWING DOWN AND GETTING LOST IN A STORY.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alia is a Spanish-Moroccan artist. She earned her Qualification in painting from the École des Arts d’Ixelles in Brussels.
Her work is rooted in figurative representation, often serving as a means to explore personal experiences and identity. Alia was featured in the magazine “Artist, Mothers, Proud and Serious” and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in both Brussels and Madrid.
"Painting and reading are my two greatest passions—essential to how I experience life. I am deeply convinced of their positive impact on mental health, especially in a world increasingly swept up in the fast-paced rush of the digital age.

This series is both a tribute to the act of reading and a celebration of how reading offers the perfect excuse to paint. It is my invitation to honour the timeless beauty of paper books and to embrace reading as a quiet, contemplative, and artistic practice."
