AS OUR LIVES ARE BACK TO BUSY, WOMEN UNITED ART MOVEMENT IS BRINGING YOU A NEW CONCEPT OF SHORT HYPER-FOCUSED WORKSHOPS TO SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR CREATIVE PRACTICES.

NO LONG-TERM COMMITMENTS, FAST AND TANGIBLE RESULTS, MEETING YOU WHERE YOU ARE, AND HOLDING YOU ACCOUNTABLE TO GETTING THINGS DONE.

CONTINUE BELOW TO SEE THE DETAILS OF OUR FIRST ROUND OF WORKSHOPS FOCUSED ON WRITING ABOUT YOUR WORK

When we start our creative practices, all we want to do is paint, draw, sketch, make collages, sculptures, and installations, and take photographs - simply create.

In most cases, we create because we want to express what we can't put into words. Each piece represents a piece of our soul - our joys, sorrows, passions, but also our tears.

They are the intimate corners of our reality that we put out there to the world, hoping to connect with the right audience.

BUT THEN WE ARE REQUIRED TO WRITE AND TALK ABOUT OUR ART!

How did we not see that coming?!

AS ARTISTS, WE ARE REQUIRED TO CRAFT AN INTERESTING ARTIST BIO, CATCHING ARTIST STATEMENT, IRRESISTIBLE ELEVATOR PITCH, ENGAGING POSTS, STORIES AND REELS ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND ALIGN IT ALL TOGETHER WITH HOW WE PRESENT OURSELVES ON OUR WEBSITES. IN ADDITION, THIS OFTEN COMES WITH A LIMITED AMOUNT OF WORDS AND SPACE.

TESTIMONIALS

"It was a very helpful workshop for learning how to write a statement and bio that fascinates the reader. Mona is helping individually with personalised suggestions how to improve the text. It is a small group, so everybody is heard with questions and her story. Also the workshop covered how to write to galleries, how your website should be organised and other. For me it was amazing what can be done in three days. But we as participants had to work!!!"

ABOUT YOUR MENTOR

My name is Mona Lerch, I am a visual artist, artist coach & mentor, and the founder and CEO of Women United ART MOVEMENT and Art Mums United.

In this hyper-focused Artist Intensive, I'm 'going to help you navigate through the most important aspects of your artist identity and how you can translate it into pretty much any written material you need to write about yourself and your art. During these three sessions, we'll find the right words and align your ideas with your work and presentation.

Over the last couple of years, I created various art opportunities for women artists from all around the globe, reviewed 5.000+ submissions and worked with 100+ creatives on refining their art practices.

The number one issue I identify during almost every call for artists is the inconsistency between the visual and written presentation which often results in curators rejecting the work.

"If there were a “vs” slide of my outlook on my artist bio before and after, you would believe two completely other people wrote it. This course has allowed me to grow so much as a person and artist. Mona is amazing! She is a very informative person as well as a good-natured one. I also learned so much about her through this course, which I felt was very comforting. I would recommend this workshop to any artist, whether they may just be starting or someone who may have a wide spectrum of knowledge because you also learn so much about yourself."
