WOMEN UNITED ART PRIZE
 

Women United ART PRIZE is a contemporary art prize aimed at celebrating female artists who work in 2D format across the globe. The art prize is organized by Women United ART MOVEMENT, a collective that creates diverse art opportunities with a mission to highlight women in the arts around the globe.

Gita Joshi London Curator artist coach.png

Gita Joshi is an independent curator, podcast host, artist coach and author of Show Your Art - How to build an art career without a gallery.

 

She is the founder of The Curator's Salon and Art Seen - an international art magazine that focuses on contemporary art.

Gita has run artists' open studio programs, worked with arts charities, organized open exhibitions, curated exhibitions in business spaces as well as within the gallery context, helped artists prepare to work with galleries, portfolio reviews, been a juror for art competitions and is a member of the Association of Women Art Dealers.

Ekaterina Popova is an award-winning artist based in Philadelphia, US.

 

She is the founder and editor-in-chief of Create! Magazine and the CEO of the Art Queens Society, a coaching service and community dedicated to lifting up women artists. 

She is also the host of Create! Podcast and co-author of best-selling books The Complete Smartist Guide and The Creative Business Handbook: Follow Your Passions and Be Your Own Boss.

Erika b Hess is a painter, curator, writer, and host of the art podcast I Like Your Work. She's also the founder of The Works Membershipa comprehensive professional practice course designed to equip artists with the necessary skills and knowledge in the art world.

 

Hess has curated and juried exhibitions, publications, and awards including Create Magazine, Friend of the Artist, Cambridge Art Association, Gallery 263, AllSheMakes, Arts to Hearts, Riffe Gallery, and she has served on panels at SCOPE, Cleveland Institute of Art, and Boston University and frequently lectures at colleges such as Wellesley University, Massachusetts College of Art & Design, Missouri State University, Eastern Michigan University, and many others.

Mona Lerch is a contemporary mixed media visual artist and entrepreneur residing in

Brno, Czech Republic.

She is the founder and CEO of Women United ART MOVEMENT, Editor in Chief of Women United ART MAGAZINE and a podcast host.

 

In addition to organizing solo and group exhibits, Mona also coaches artists through her

monthly subscription, 1:1 sessions and online programs.

A longlisted artist is any artist in each category who receives at least one vote by the jury. A shortlisted artist is any artist in each category who receives two and more votes by the jury. Finalists are the first 10 artists in each category.

ELIGIBILITY

Women United ART PRIZE is open to all women-identifying artists worldwide, regardless of their education, age, sexual orientation, race, career stage, location.

ACCEPTED ART

This year, Women United ART PRIZE includes four categories - Drawing & Painting, Photography & Printmaking, Collage & Fiber Art, Digital Art. Artists are advised to select a category that best represents their work. Inappropriate or offensive content or subject matter will be automatically excluded from the selection process.

ENTRY CRITERIA

Artists may only submit work that is their own. Artwork doesn't have to be for sale. The ideal file size is 1.5 MB. Images of the artwork must be at least 1000px wide and min 72 DPI. Accepted formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG. Each entry must also include artist bio, statement, website, social media handle, email address, location.

ENTRY FEES

All entries require a non-refundable entry fee that goes towards supporting our community and creating opportunities for artists. The entry starts at EUR 8 / per artwork. Artists may submit up to 5 artworks. Early bird pricing (EUR 35 for 5 works) ends on 20 July 2023.

Artists residing in countries affected by war conflicts, natural disasters or living in countries that suppress women's rights shall contact us at assistant@womenunitedartmovement.com for entry fee exemption.
