Weekly Wonder Woman - Eden

New York City, NY / United States

Eden is a 12-year-old artist. She enjoys drawing diverse forms that celebrate female beauty. Her message behind every drawing is: We are all different, we are also the same, and we are all beautiful!

Who are you (tell us briefly about yourself)?

My name is Eden, and I am a 12-year-old artist. I am from the United States and live in New York with my mom and dad. I am in middle school. I enjoy playing volleyball, having sleepovers with my friends, and thrifting. I like creating art in all mediums, though one year ago, I entered the NFT arena and became more focused on digital art. My art has won an international competition, been displayed in virtual and real-life galleries, was part of a TedX exhibition, and more. My goal for this year is to have more opportunities beyond NFTs and also to do commissioned work.

What inspires your art practice?

The world around me inspires me. This includes my friends, traveling with my family, and just everyday life. I also enjoy going online and checking out other artists. I draw diverse female forms, the women and girls I see around me, who are only sometimes represented in art. I believe that representation matters.

What drives you to keep going every day?

My love for art drives me, and my parents reinforce this. I also like to see how I improve, which only happens with practice.

What's the number one advice to fellow women artists?

Don't be afraid.
