ARTIST STATEMENT

My art centers around exploring the position of women in contemporary society and how modern-day norms, social media, and technology intersect with the human psyche and emotions. Through my art, I aim to unpack these intricacies by creating a safe space for dialogue and introspection. My personal journey of healing from trauma and identity crisis and researching the impact of social media on individuals led me to become a contemporary artist. I prefer working with acrylic paint on canvas, which allows for spontaneity, experimentation, and subconscious automatic exploration of color and line, as well as using graphic color blocks. As a survivor of domestic violence and an antiwar artist, I donate a significant part of the profit to Women’s organizations (including Ukrainian organizations).
