WOMEN UNITED ART PRIZE IS A PRESTIGIOUS CONTEMPORARY ART PRIZE DEDICATED TO CELEBRATING FEMALE VISUAL ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD WHO WORK IN 2D FORMATS.

ORGANIZED BY WOMEN UNITED ART MOVEMENT, THIS PRIZE OFFERS DIVERSE AND EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN ARTISTS, WITH A MISSION TO ELEVATE AND HIGHLIGHT THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE GLOBAL ART SCENE.
MEET THE JURORS
Ashara Shapiro is a multidisciplinary creative, arts educator, and entrepreneur. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Emerson College (BFA in Acting and Theater Education), she brings a rich performance background alongside her passions for creative writing, design, and community engagement.

Ashara is the founder of ArtWRKD, an art consortium in Newtown, PA — a dynamic space featuring a gallery, artists’ studios, workshops, and a curated boutique — all designed to foster and celebrate the work of emerging artists. From her ArtWRKD studio, she also produces her own wearable art under the label ARecherche.
​
A published poet, with work appearing in The Pandemic Project, Shocking Verbs, Lawless Nouns, and Neshaminy, Ashara is a passionate advocate for growing, sharing, and promoting creativity across disciplines.
​
Liz Lidgett is an art advisor, writer and gallery owner. As founder of Liz Lidgett Gallery and Design, she works with clients to find the perfect piece of art for their style, space, and budget. She has a passion for making the art world approachable for everyone.
Liz has also been a contributor for many national publications, working with brands like Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart, and Apartment Therapy. She lives in Des Moines, IA, with her husband, Nick Renkoski, their children, Rocky and Effie, and their ever-expanding art collection.

Marryam Moma, a Tanzanian-Nigerian visual artist based in Atlanta, GA, is renowned for her prolific exhibition history and influential presence in esteemed nationally-distributed publications like Popular Science, Create! Magazine, Black Collagists: The Book and ArtSeen Magazine. Her artwork has graced covers of MODE MEN Magazine and XXL Magazine. Moma's artwork is showcased in The New Brownies Book, which earned the NAACP Image Award in 2024.
Moma's works have been featured in television shows such as Blackish, Bel-Air, Finding Happy and Cherish The Day. Her artwork is also held in esteemed collections including Google, Microsoft, Home Depot and Starbucks.​​

Mona Lerch is a multidisciplinary visual artist, founder of Women United ART MOVEMENT, editorial designer, artist coach, podcast host, annual art prize organizer, magazine editor-in-chief, and curator — recognized for her passionate leadership and strong advocacy for women artists.
​
With a background in criminology (MSc) and over two decades of experience as a dancer, choreographer, and arts educator, Mona brings a unique blend of discipline, creativity, and compassion to her practice. Her art — a rich fusion of figurative and abstract — resonates with themes of transformation, healing, spirituality, and resilience.
​
Mona’s work is held in private collections across the globe, and through her initiatives, she helps foster a strong, collaborative network that supports, guides, and inspires women artists at all stages of their careers.

ELIGIBILITY
Women United ART PRIZE is open to all women-identifying artists worldwide, regardless of their education, age, sexual orientation, race, career stage, location.
ACCEPTED ART
Women United ART PRIZE 2025 is open in three categories - Painting & Drawing, Photography & Printmaking, Collage & Fiber Art. Artists working in mixed media are advised to select a category that best represents their work.
PAINTING & DRAWING CATEGORY
Oil, Acrylic, Watercolour, Gouache, Ink, Pastel, Charcoal, Pencil, mixed media, etc.
COLLAGE & FIBER ART CATEGORY
Collage: analogue collage, digital collage, assemblage, paper art
Fiber art: weaving, knitting, quilting, embroidery, felting, crocheting, wearable art, etc. (3D works accepted)
PHOTOGRAPHY & PRINTMAKING CATEGORY
Photography: all types of photography (fine art, hybrid, travel, photojournalism, portrait, etc.)
Printmaking: all types of printmaking (woodcut, linocut, collagraph, engraving, aquatint, monotype, lithography, cyanotype, etc.)

Inappropriate or offensive content or subject matter will be automatically excluded from the selection process.
ENTRY CRITERIA
Artists may only submit work that is their own. Artwork doesn't have to be for sale. The ideal file size is 1.5 MB. Images of the artwork must be at least 1000px wide and min 72 DPI. Accepted formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG. Each entry must also include artist bio, statement, website, social media handle, email address, location.
ENTRY FEE
All entries require a non-refundable entry fee that goes towards supporting our community and creating opportunities for artists. The extended deadline entry starts at EUR 24 / 3 artworks. Artists may submit up to 5 artworks (EUR 32 / 4 artworks; EUR 40 / 5 artworks).

Artists residing in countries affected by war conflicts, natural disasters or living in countries that suppress women's rights shall contact us at info@womenunitedartmovement.com for entry fee exemption.
SELECTION PROCESS
A longlisted artist is any artist in each category who receives at least one vote by the jury. A shortlisted artist is any artist in each category who receives two and more votes by the jury. Finalists are the first 10 artists in each category.
