ARTIST STATEMENT
Inspired by the events of early 2020, my fascination with life’s energy sparked a creative journey. Motivated to explore the transformation of reflective objects, I began my ongoing collection, We Are the Energy That Surrounds Us, capturing the mesmerizing interplay of color and light. By infusing a feminine, stylized classical approach into my painting style, I aim to create deeply personal yet universally resonant works.
My exploration is fueled by crystal and glass figurines, objects that adapt and transform as light interacts with them. These pieces, sourced from vintage and resale shops, become metaphors for resilience and interconnectedness. Through their reflections and metamorphosis, I offer viewers a glimpse into a world of transformation and beauty.
By inviting others to experience these shifts in light and perspective, my work reflects the profound energy that shapes our lives and encourages wonder in the everyday.
