ARTIST BIO
Kristina Mitrovic is a professional engineer and self-taught contemporary artist whose practice explores the profound connections between humanity, nature, and the cosmos. Drawing on principles of sacred geometry—particularly the Fibonacci sequence—she creates visually immersive works that reflect balance, harmony, and the interconnected structures underlying existence. Her art bridges scientific precision and spiritual inquiry, translating universal patterns found in galaxies, DNA, and organic growth into intricate abstract compositions.
Mitrovic’s work has been exhibited internationally across major art fairs and biennales. In July 2026, she will present her solo exhibition Invisible Threads at Palazzo Pisani Revedin in Venice, Italy, held in the historic Sala degli Stucchi as a parallel event during the 61st Venice Biennale. Her international presence includes exhibitions such as IDENTITY at Insa Art Center in Seoul (2025), featured during Kiaf and Frieze Seoul art week and praised by the Serbian Ambassador to Korea; Art Expo Paris (2025); The Other Art Fair presented by Saatchi Art in Melbourne (2025) and Dallas (2021, 2022); The Holy Art Fair at OXO Tower Wharf, London (2023); and the XIV Florence Biennale (2023).
Her work has also appeared as public digital installations through ExpoMetro Grand Tour in New York City and Los Angeles, as well as exhibitions in Copenhagen and London, including shows at Boomer Gallery near Tower Bridge. Through vibrant color, symbolic abstraction, and mathematically inspired compositions, Mitrovic invites viewers into a contemplative space where science, spirituality, and art converge.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a professional engineer and self-taught artist, passionately dedicated to exploring the deep connections between humanity, nature, and the cosmos. My work is grounded in the belief that caring for the natural world is inseparable from caring for ourselves and for future generations.
Sacred geometry—especially the Fibonacci sequence—plays a central role in my practice. This universal ratio appears everywhere: in spirals of galaxies, the structure of DNA, the unfolding of leaves. For me, it represents a blueprint of balance that sustains life. Through it, I explore the dynamic interplay of masculine and feminine energies and the harmony that emerges when opposites are held in equilibrium.
My paintings seek to embody the principle “as above, so below,” capturing the sensation of being both grounded and elevated at once. Using abstract symbolism, vibrant color, and intricate pattern, I create visual meditations on interconnectedness—between earth and sky, science and spirit, past wisdom and future possibility.
Each work is an invitation to rediscover harmony within ourselves and our surroundings. Art, like life, mirrors the greater whole. We are not separate from nature; we are threads within its vast tapestry. Through my practice, I aim to spark curiosity, healing, and a renewed awareness that we are all part of one living system—maintained, balanced, and beautifully ordered by the same universal rhythm.
