ARTIST BIO
Yuliya Greben is a Ukrainian-born artist based in Southern California, whose oil paintings explore the sacred interplay between the human experience and the cosmos within. With a background in both visual art and healthcare, Yuliya brings a rare sensitivity to her practice, blending technical mastery with deep emotional insight.
Her creative journey began as a personal search for meaning and evolved into a passionate artistic calling. She studied at the Milan Art Institute, completing the Art Mastery Program where she developed a strong foundation in contemporary techniques. She also studied Mythological Realism at the Conscious Creativity Academy under the mentorship of artist Christopher Remmers. Alongside her artistic education, Yuliya holds a Master’s Degree in Nurse Education – a path that continues to shape her intuitive understanding of the inner world and the human condition.
Her work has been exhibited in major art fairs including ArtExpo New York, Spectrum Miami, and Art San Diego. Her richly colored figurative oil paintings, centered on the divine feminine, have been also shown in solo and group exhibitions across California including Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara (MCASB).
ARTIST STATEMENT
As a figurative oil painter, I work at the intersection of Imaginative Realism and the Cosmic Figurative styles, where the human form serves as a vessel for the unseen and a bridge between the tangible and the transcendent.
Through the language of paint, I illuminate silent moments of transformation, celestial energy, and the subtle light of the soul. I place the feminine figure at the center of cosmic and liminal spaces, presenting women not as objects of observation, but as sovereign beings – grounded and self-aware.
Shaped by my background in healing and education, I treat each work with empathy and intention. I believe art holds the power to awaken the sacred, invite stillness, and honor the beauty of becoming – an unfolding journey from the inside out.
